Responsibilities- Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
- Provide nursing functions, such as administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing restorative and rehabilitative procedures.
- Prepare residents for meals and snacks, and assist with feeding as needed.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Utilize nursing knowledge and skills to implement basic preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care.
- Perform delegated independent nursing functions using established procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- Assist in data collection and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Carry out physician orders accurately and directly.
- Document pertinent observations and interventions on patient records.
- Administer medications accurately and observe patient response.
- Perform limited I.V. therapy procedures as delegated by and observed by the RN.
- Maintain and coordinate communication among patients, staff, and physicians.
- Provide patient and family health teaching as delegated by and observed by the RN.
- Participate in staff development programs and meetings as requested.
- Graduate of a nationally approved Nursing program.
- Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
- Currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
