We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Global InfoTek, Inc. as a key member of our infrastructure team.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions to support our large-scale multi-site deployments.
- Evaluate and assess new technologies to improve platform capabilities and enhance our hybrid infrastructure.
- Automate workflows to enable continuous delivery of capabilities onto our hybrid infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot issues on high-traffic production systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in design and code review processes to ensure high-quality infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners to coordinate infrastructure changes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve performance of the platform to meet business needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree.
- 3+ years of experience developing production software in modern languages (Java, Python, Go, NodeJS, etc.).
- 1+ years of experience developing containerized services on orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Mesos, Swarm, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience with agile and lean software development philosophies.
- 1+ years of experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, etc.).
- 2+ years of experience with modern version control systems (Git, Subversion, Mercurial, etc.).
- Clearable to a SECRET or above security clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ CE or other DoD 8570 IAT II certification.
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters across hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
- 8+ years of experience working in Operations, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with configuration/package management using tools like Terraform, Helm, etc.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud service monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, FluentD, ElasticStack, etc.).
- Exceptional proficiency in Linux system administration.
- Ability to assist with GitLab CI pipelines.
- Experience creating automation using APIs from Azure or Google Cloud.
