Air Industries Group is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and evaluating existing manufacturing processes for vertical and horizontal lathes, and multi-axis milling machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop cost-effective manufacturing processes to support 4-5 axis machining centers
- Design and implement cost-effective manufacturing fixtures and tooling
- Create and maintain shop floor documentation, including operation sheets and work instructions
- Implement cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing techniques
- Initiate corrective actions to floor processes
- Conduct cost estimating and quoting
- Participate in lean and continuous improvement events
Requirements:
- Experience with Aerospace materials
- Proficiency in Unigraphics NX4-5, CAM, and 3D modeling
- Ability to work under deadlines and be accountable for results
- Experience with complex aerospace parts, including milling and turning processes
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques
- Effective time management and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to read blueprints and communicate effectively in English
- High attention to detail and ability to develop and follow procedures
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field
