A reputable manufacturing company in the Pennsylvania area seeks a seasoned mechanical engineer for its engineering team. This role involves designing equipment, systems, and components for the fire sprinkler industry using SolidWorks 3D CAD software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive product specifications and improvements
  • Create detailed CAD models, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to proper standards and within specification
  • Perform calculations to verify design validity and ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Determine fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, and testing costs for new products
  • Design, assemble, and test working prototypes to meet industry standards
  • Prepare clear instructions for assembling and testing by manufacturing staff
  • Write concise installation instructions for customers
Requirements:
  • Mechanical engineering degree (BSME preferred)
  • 5-10 years' experience in design engineering with expertise in electromechanical product design
  • Familiarity with the fire sprinkler industry is not necessary but beneficial
  • Expertise in PLC ladder logic, control panel fabrication, and SolidWorks 3D CAD software (CSWP preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
