About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Support Manager to join our team at STP Nuclear. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our nuclear power facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • People Management:
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure seamless collaboration between teams.
    • Monitor and evaluate work group performance to identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and maintain technical expertise within the work group to ensure adequate talent to perform meaningful assessments and program oversight.
    • Represent the department/company on internal work teams and committees, and with external entities.
  • Facilities and Maintenance Projects Management:
    • Manage all aspects of development, revision, and maintenance of section procedures to ensure compliance with station and regulatory requirements.
    • Direct and coordinate the technical performance of assigned discipline supervision and personnel.
    • Represent the Maintenance organization on internal work teams or external groups.
    • Assist assigned discipline personnel in analyzing technical issues and correcting problems to mitigate schedule impacts.
  • Fiscal Accountability:
    • Maintain fiscal records and procedures of the department to ensure effective and efficient operations.
    • Understand and manage to financial and budget targets.
    • Proactively monitor and interpret ongoing financial performance and respond strategically.
Requirements
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
    • Five years of experience in nuclear, industrial, or commercial construction, facilities, engineering, maintenance, planning, or outage may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience:
    • 10 years of experience in nuclear, industrial, or commercial construction, engineering, maintenance, planning, or outage, with a minimum of three years in a supervisory or management position at a nuclear power plant.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • No certification or licensure is required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skills:
    • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.
    • Capable of functioning with minimum guidance and direction in fulfilling assigned tasks and objectives.
  • Soft Skills:
    • High degree of initiative.
    • Ability to accept responsibility for the organization's activities and outcomes.
    • Knowledge of company processes and procedures.
    • Firm understanding of STP's goals and long-term plans.
    • Superior communication skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to interface effectively with management, bargaining unit personnel, and Union representatives.
