Position Overview:
CTL Thompson, Inc. is currently in search of a dedicated Engineering Technician for seasonal roles within our organization. This position will involve conducting field and laboratory assessments, tests, and inspections across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in effective communication with project managers, contractors, and other engineering personnel on-site.
- Collect and transport sample specimens to the laboratory for comprehensive analysis and ensure daily reporting is completed.
- Maintain and service company vehicles, equipment, and work areas as necessary.
- Assist field managers with additional assignments as required.
- Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.

Compensation and Benefits:
The selected candidate will be eligible for a signing bonus in the form of a 2024/2025 Ski Season Epic Pass, contingent upon a minimum of six months of active full-time employment. Compensation for Engineering Technician roles varies based on experience:
- Engineering Technician I: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
- Engineering Technician II: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
- Engineering Technician III: $23.00 - $36.00 per hour
Seasonal employees will also receive paid sick leave and holidays, along with retirement benefits including a 401K plan.

Training Opportunities:
Training is a vital aspect of this role, and candidates with diverse experience levels are encouraged to apply. Training will cover essential topics related to job responsibilities and cross-training for future growth within the company.

Supervisory Duties:
- Engineering Technician I: No supervisory responsibilities.
- Engineering Technician II and III: Responsible for training field staff.

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
- Proficiency with CTL Thompson's software.

Qualifications:
- Engineering Technician I: High school diploma or equivalent; job-related certifications preferred.
- Engineering Technician II: High school diploma or equivalent; 2-3 years of relevant experience; minimum of 2 applicable certifications; B.S. in geology may substitute for experience and certifications.
- Engineering Technician III: High school diploma or equivalent; 4 years of relevant experience; minimum of 3 applicable certifications; B.S. in civil, geotechnical, or related engineering field may substitute for experience and certifications.

Work Environment:
This position operates primarily outdoors in a field environment, exposing the technician to various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety gear will be utilized regularly.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds.
- Capability to navigate construction sites with uneven terrain.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
