Job Summary

This is a part-time position in the meat department. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing, packaging, and stocking meat products according to company standards. They will also be responsible for cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. Additionally, they may be assigned to perform duties of a seafood clerk when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process, package, and stock meat products according to company standards
  • Clean work areas and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Unload stock and reload salvage
  • Perform duties of a seafood clerk when assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Work Environment

The work environment is a cool environment with an average temperature range of 34-36 degrees Fahrenheit. The associate will be frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. They will occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and will frequently be exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
