We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct of Mathematics to join our team at St. Edward's University. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching face-to-face undergraduate courses in Mathematics, including College Algebra, Math for Business, Precalculus, Quantitative Reasoning, and corequisite math support courses.
Responsibilities- Teach face-to-face sections of Mathematics courses on campus in Austin, TX.
- Follow a common syllabus and utilize online homework platforms and learning management systems.
- Hold at least one on-campus office hour per week per section.
- Keep in contact with the course coordinator primarily by email for common assignments and exams.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mathematics is required.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in classroom teaching.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Facility in online communication via email, learning management systems, and online homework platforms.
- Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required.
