Job Summary

Under general direction, this role performs a variety of job responsibilities, including delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers, equipment and plant maintenance work, and fertilizer blending.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and set up fertilizer and chemical tanks, and perform equipment maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor product application, calibrate equipment, and control application rates.
  • Perform equipment and plant maintenance, including welding, pump and engine overhauls, and painting.
  • Servicing equipment, including wheel bearings, brakes, and lights.
  • Load and deliver fertilizer and chemicals to customers.
  • Operate equipment to blend fertilizer.
  • Receive and unload product, and perform warehouse inventory and storage functions.
  • Assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties, such as assisting with special projects and attending training sessions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One plus years related experience.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Mechanical knowledge is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation.
  • Proficiency with smart devices is highly preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
  • Hazmat Endorsement upon hire.
