Horton Animal Hospital Discovery is an expanding 24-hour emergency veterinary facility that also provides general practice services during standard business hours. We have openings for both emergency-only and general practice/emergency roles, tailored to your preferences. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to supporting veterinarians within a 200-mile radius by providing essential services such as hospitalization, specialty surgeries, and emergency care. Our leadership team is committed to fostering an environment where our staff feels respected, valued, and supported. Collaboration among our veterinarians is key, as we work together on cases and provide mutual support. Our growing support staff is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our patients and clients, and we are committed to continuous learning and skill enhancement.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are in search of full-time veterinarians (part-time positions may also be considered) who possess strong clinical expertise, a positive demeanor, excellent communication abilities, and a good sense of humor. Our full-time schedules typically consist of three to four 12-hour shifts per week, averaging 40-42 hours weekly. Options for both daytime and overnight shifts are available.

What We Offer:

Our facility is equipped with in-house ultrasound capabilities, supported by Oncura, allowing us to perform abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms. We provide extended training for these services, which can be credited towards continuing education. We primarily utilize IDEXX in-house and reference laboratories, complemented by a quick pick-up service from a local veterinary diagnostic lab. Our facility includes in-house radiography with access to radiologist reviews, oxygen cages, an isolation room, and a spacious surgical suite that is regularly utilized.
