Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Potawatomi Federal Solutions. As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our medical team in delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Inpatient and Outpatient Services: You will work closely with our internal medicine and family medicine clinics, wards, and other clinical settings to provide specialist and medical services to patients.
  • Evaluate Patient Complaints and Design Treatment Plans: You will attend specialist clinic sessions, evaluate patient complaints, make diagnoses, design treatment plans, and educate patients and their families about their condition.
  • Prescribe Medications Accurately: You will prepare prescriptions accurately following federal and U.S. Public Health Service laws and policies, ensuring that drug therapy is safe, efficacious, and cost-effective.
  • Monitor Patient Health Records: You will screen patient health records to avoid inappropriate drug interactions and monitor patients for the appropriateness of therapy.
  • Abide by HIPAA and Privacy Act Regulations: You will adhere to all protocols, patient confidentiality, and record-keeping consistent with HIPAA and Privacy Act regulations.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Processes: You will participate in our GIMC Family Medicine Department peer review system and make practice modifications in accordance with the peer review group's findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain Patient Records: You will maintain patient records in the Problem-Oriented Medical Record format utilizing the Patient Care Component of the RPMS computer system.
Qualifications
  • Licensure and Certification: You must maintain appropriate licensure and certification status through the term of this contract.
  • Valid License to Practice Medicine: You must possess a valid, active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state within the United States, District of Columbia, or the commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
  • Certification by the American Board of Family Medicine: You must possess current certification by the American Board of Family Medicine.
  • Sub-Specialist Training or Fellowship: You must document completion of Rheumatology, Nephrology, Dermatology, and/or other sub-specialist training or fellowship of at least 2-4 years.
  • Valid Driver's License: You must possess a valid driver's license from any state.
Required Immunizations
  • Immunity to Rubella, Mumps, Measles: You must be immune to Rubella, Mumps, and Measles.
  • Immunity to Hepatitis B Series: You must be immune to Hepatitis B series.
  • History of Chicken Pox (Varicella) Disease or Positive Titer: You must have a history of Chicken Pox (Varicella) disease or a positive titer.
  • Tetanus Diphtheria (Td) within the Last 5 Years: You must have received a Tetanus Diphtheria (Td) vaccination within the last 5 years.
  • Documentation of TB Mantoux Skin Test (PPD) within the Past 12 Months: You must document receiving a TB Mantoux skin test (PPD) within the past 12 months with documentation of follow-up for a positive test.
  • Other Immunizations as Required by NAIHS Immunization Policy: You must comply with other immunizations as required by NAIHS immunization policy.
