Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to pediatric patients in our state-of-the-art facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Care: Provide high-quality anesthetic care to pediatric patients, including preanesthetic evaluation, intraoperative anesthesia, and postoperative rounds.
  • Teaching and Education: Participate in bedside teaching of residents, medical students, and nurse anesthetists, and contribute to the development of didactic teaching programs.
  • Research and Quality Improvement: Pursue clinical or laboratory research and participate in quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of pediatric anesthesiology.
  • Leadership and Service: Serve on departmental and institutional committees, and participate in community service initiatives.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree
  • ABA Board eligible/certified in Anesthesiology and/or certified/eligible for Pediatric Certification
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia
  • Eligible for employment in the United States
  • Good communication, clinical, and teaching skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
