Position Overview
As a Maintenance Engineer III, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's facilities. This position is vital in maintaining the high standards of service that our guests expect at Loews Hotels.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct general repairs and maintenance tasks while assisting senior engineering staff.
- Address maintenance requests from various areas including Meeting Rooms, Guest Rooms, and Public Spaces.
- Review and manage the daily complaint log to ensure timely resolutions.
- Execute work orders as assigned through the maintenance management system.
- Perform minor setups for hotel events and functions.
- Oversee the light bulb replacement program and maintain inventory of supplies and tools in storerooms.
- Provide assistance to guests with any maintenance-related inquiries.
- Communicate the status of maintenance requests to the dispatcher and maintain cleanliness in the engineering shop.
- Follow up on maintenance requests as directed by the Chief Engineer or supervisor.

Operational Standards
- Ensure that all hotel systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Report any repair issues to the Chief Engineer promptly.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire safety systems.
- Assist in inspections of floors and rooms to uphold quality standards.
- Monitor energy consumption and waste management practices.

Emergency Preparedness
- Be thoroughly familiar with hotel emergency procedures and respond effectively during emergencies.
- Notify supervisors of any significant issues or unusual occurrences.

Qualifications
- Completion of courses in engineering or maintenance is preferred.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.
- Familiarity with basic tools and equipment, particularly in electrical and HVAC systems.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent hospitality skills.

Education and Experience
- A high school diploma is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in general maintenance is required.
