Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Dosimetrist to join our team at Integrated Oncology Network, LLC. As a key member of our radiation therapy department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement treatment plans using advanced computer software and mathematical calculations.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists to ensure accurate and effective treatment delivery.
  • Supervise and assist in simulations and tumor localization using imaging devices such as CT, MRI, and PET.
  • Plan and implement the fabrication of compensation filters, custom shields, wedges, and other beam modifying devices.
  • Supervise and assist in the application of specific methods of patient and/or beam dosimetry as directed by the Medical Physicist.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, including radiation safety and protection, machine calibrations, and quality assurance of treatment plans and clinical setups.
  • Verify total dose(s) delivered upon completion of each course of therapy.
  • Assist in treatment planning for brachytherapy and stereotactic radio surgery programs.
  • Provide clear and concise communication of treatment plans to radiation therapists and other team members.
Requirements
  • Medical Dosimetry Certification (Board Certified or Board Eligible).
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy.
  • 2-5 years of experience in radiation therapy as a medical dosimetrist.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Excellent judgment, dependability, and conscientious performance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High ethical standards.
  • Mechanical ability and manual dexterity for operating complicated equipment.
