ED Critical Care Specialist

Under the supervision of the RN, this role provides age-appropriate care in the Emergency Department. As a member of the Division of Patient Care Services, the successful candidate will be committed to delivering highly reliable care while adhering to National Patient Safety Goals. This occurs within a learning environment that is supportive and just, where each employee is valued for their contribution to the collective safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:- Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college) in a specialized field.
- 2-3 years ED and/or 2-3 years MD EMT Basic or National Registry EMT and/or Paramedic or Medical Corpsman experience.
- Basic computer skills (Occasionally).
- Communication Devices (Frequently).
- Interpersonal/communication/organizational skills (Frequently).
- American Heart Association CPR Certification.
- GNA/CNA certificate from the MD Board of Nursing Hospital orientation/training program; or Certified MD EMT; or Paramedic; or National Registry EMT/Paramedic/Medical Corpsman.
The new Emergency Department at Grace Medical Center features 17,000 square feet of state-of-the-art design with technology and amenities for emergency care. Patients and visitors will immediately see a larger, brighter space with a comfortable waiting room. Twenty-nine spacious, well-lit private treatment rooms are appointed throughout the space, with the providers' station positioned front and center.
