About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Livermore Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinicians in providing high-quality dental care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clinicians in preparing patients for oral examinations and supporting various dental procedures.
  • Ensure a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment by addressing patients' individual needs and maintaining exceptional PPE.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments, clean operatories, and manage dental supplies to support efficient patient care.
  • Conduct radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed by clinicians, and prepare tray setups for procedures.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with front and back office teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support patient care by presenting treatment records and health histories, and providing post-treatment instructions.
  • Participate in daily huddles, monthly team meetings, and uphold the company's culture and values.
  • Support clinicians in specialized fields, such as Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics, or Pediatric Dentistry, and may require additional training.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED, with state-mandated certification or licensure.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance (for Specialty Dental Assistants), or reliable alternate transportation.
  • Preferred: One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
