Job Summary

This position provides an opportunity for Nisqually Tribal members to gain the skills necessary for the position of Custodial Supervisor. The Custodial Apprentice will assist the Facilities Department Custodial Team Members by performing various tasks, including general cleaning, equipment maintenance, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Custodial Team Members in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the casino building
  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
  • Maintain and repair cleaning equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and team members
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed
Requirements
  • Nisqually Tribal Member
  • Ability to learn all aspects of the Custodial Department
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and accept guidance
  • Ability to work independently and use sound judgment
  • Positive guest service and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand/or move around continuously during the assigned shift
  • Manual and finger dexterity for operating a personal computer and routine paperwork
  • Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment
