Athena Care Inc. is a leading mental health services platform in Tennessee and neighboring states, dedicated to improving access to quality care. We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team in TN.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatrist will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of behavioral and mental health disorders in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric care, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans using evidence-based practices and current best standards.
  • Diagnose mental and affective conditions, and determine necessary medication or other resources/treatment needed.
  • Educate guardians on supporting patients and collaborate with other members of the patient's care team.
  • Document services provided in the electronic medical record (EMR) consistent with standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain licensure, supervision, and continuing education requirements in a manner consistent with standards of practice.
  • Stay up-to-date with current standards of care and research in the field, applying knowledge to improve practice and provision of care.
Requirements:
  • Education/Experience: Medical degree and successful completion of residency and fellowship required.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current, valid medical license issued by the state of TN required, as well as DEA registration and board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and current treatment options, problem-solving, collaboration, verbal communication, listening, data entry skills, people skills, informing, customer focus, attention to detail, and professionalism.
