Job Summary:

The MRI Tech Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience from check-in to exam completion. This includes greeting patients, gathering their clinical history, escorting them to the changing and exam rooms, and transporting patients to and from the MRI department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Confirm the accuracy of patient and procedural data.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and staff.
  • Clean and prepare exam rooms, maintaining controlled access to the magnet room.
  • Assist technologists with patient screening and alert them to any patient safety concerns.
  • Provide support with patient positioning and MRI equipment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to direct patient care).
  • 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) experience (preferred).
