This role involves providing essential operational support in restoration projects for clients. The ideal candidate should possess significant carpentry expertise and the ability to work independently. The Intermediate Carpenter will collaborate with BELFOR Estimators in developing project scopes and will manage tasks autonomously. This position is designed for those looking to advance their skills from residential to commercial and multi-family projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify potential project issues and seek timely assistance when necessary.
• Respond to general inquiries about the project and refer complex questions to the appropriate personnel.
• Safely move and protect items without causing damage.
• Establish effective containment for construction dust and airborne contaminants in the work area.
• Utilize the correct tools and BELFOR-approved methods for tasks such as flood cutting, salvaging, and labeling materials.
• Complete shrink wrap training and successfully execute multiple shrink wrap projects.
• Develop the ability to recognize various insulation types, their thickness, and R-values.
• Apply acquired skills and material knowledge in areas such as Trim, Doors, Cabinetry, Insulation, Rough Framing, Acoustical Ceilings, Roofing materials, and Exterior Siding to daily responsibilities.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and maintain vehicles in a clean and serviceable condition.
• Maintain a strong attention to detail throughout all tasks.
• Adhere to BELFOR Standards in protecting client property.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of customer service principles.
• Work effectively under time constraints to meet project deadlines.
• Be available for night and weekend work as needed and travel occasionally.
• Accurately report hours worked and materials used.
• Participate in BELFOR-sponsored operations and safety training as required.
• Oversee unskilled labor and Basic Level BELFOR employees in residential settings.
• Answer basic project-related questions and know when to refer inquiries to more qualified personnel.
• Maintain equipment used in daily operations.
• Provide emergency services as required, such as securing buildings against further damage.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
