About the Role

Lake Prince Woods, an esteemed retirement community in Suffolk, Virginia, is seeking an experienced Kitchen Professional to join our team.

The annual salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000, commensurate with experience. Key Accountabilities:

  1. Prepare all food items according to established recipes and presentation specifications
  2. Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring minimal waste and maximum productivity
  3. Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless food service operations
  5. Adhere to all relevant food production and sanitation codes

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum six months of experience in food preparation, preferably in a hospital, institutional, or restaurant setting
  • Prior experience in long-term care or healthcare is a plus
  • Certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions are crucial
