Speech Therapist for Private Practice

• Evaluate patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments to develop effective treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to diagnose patients and create personalized treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) for patients with speech and language disorders.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
• Provide education and training to patients and families on communication techniques and strategies to manage speech and language disorders.
• Write reports and maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment plans.
• Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling, billing, and record-keeping.
• Develop and implement group activities and programs to manage behavior, speech, and language problems.
• Participate in meetings and write reports on patient progress.
• Participate in IEP meetings, in-service meetings, and intervention assistance team meetings.
• Teach patients techniques for effective communication, such as sign language, lip reading, or voice improvement.

Requirements

• Florida DOH License
• ASHA certification preferred
• At least one year post-graduate experience preferred
• Experience working with the pediatric population ages 0-3
• Experience working with the adult population
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Fun, passionate, and engaging personality
• Ability to travel between natural environments and school settings
• Will train
