Job Title: Lead Infant Teacher
Job Summary:
The Lead Infant Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality care and education to infants in a Montessori setting. This role requires a strong commitment to child development and a passion for creating a nurturing environment that fosters growth and exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development in infants
- Provide individualized attention and care to each infant, including feeding, diapering, and soothing
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient daily routine
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including cleaning and sanitizing toys and equipment
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure a smooth transition between home and school
Requirements:
- 24 units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, including core courses in Child/Human Growth and Development and Program/Curriculum
- Child Development Permit
- 5 years of teaching experience as a lead teacher, supervising other adults in a classroom
- Leadership skills, energetic and positive attitude
- Ability to use the computer to input developmental data
- Ability to effectively plan, organize, and implement educational activities
