SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Editor with Intel Analyst expertise to join our team. As an Editor with Intel Analyst expertise, you will be responsible for providing a substantive review of written analytic all-source intelligence products and offering solutions for product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of written analytic products to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with authors to clarify product issues and foster a collaborative environment.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address missing or incorrect information in author's analysis/research.
- Apply copyediting skills to enhance overall readability, flow, and product organization.
- Ensure product consistency while maintaining unique reporting styles.
- Perform detailed proofreading edits in accordance with customer style guides.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of sourced content using multiple platforms.
- Prioritize competing priorities to meet desired delivery outcomes and complete requests for information across counterintelligence (CI) and counterterrorism (CT) subject areas.
- Recommend areas of additional research to authors where storylines appear lacking.
- Provide coordination feedback to external groups on their products.
- Demonstrate expertise in using MS Word track changes.
- Maintain a basic understanding of technical identity threats.
Qualifications
- Active/current TS/SCI with polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Master's degree and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
- IC experience in writing and editing.
- Five (5) years of experience editing, researching, and writing intelligence reports for the IC.
- Five (5) years of experience conducting all-source analysis to produce finished intelligence.
- Experience with numerous analytic tools and databases used across the IC.
- Experience with customer communications systems and supporting mission centers across multiple IC agencies.
- Experience in counterterrorism (CT) and counterintelligence (CI).
- Experience in multitasking and working under tight deadlines.
- Experience working both independently and as a team to deliver results.
