Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the financial leadership to deliver expert financial management for our manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct ongoing forecasts of cash flow, providing insights on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Compile payroll data for timely submissions.
  • Analyze project costs against budgets and assist in corporate reporting.
  • Perform comprehensive analyses of sales, orders, and operating income on a regular basis.
  • Support annual audit processes in collaboration with internal and external auditors.
  • Engage in various analyses to facilitate an efficient accounting close.
  • Assist in the development of overhead and SG&A rates.
  • Participate in the preparation of pricing rates and submissions to regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of corporate financial systems.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and other regulatory standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley and Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Work closely with auditors and finance teams to maintain compliance.
  • Involve in bi-annual SOX testing and control assessments.
  • May oversee local accounting staff as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a publicly traded company.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GAAP principles is advantageous.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes in a project-based environment is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems is desirable.
  • Government accounting experience is an asset; familiarity with pricing submissions is preferred.
  • LEAN and/or Six-Sigma knowledge is helpful.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and customer focus.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
