At Sunbelt Staffing, we are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our virtual school-based team as a Virtual Education Specialist. Job Summary

The Virtual Education Specialist will play a crucial role in providing remote occupational therapy services to students, contributing to their overall well-being and academic success in a virtual learning environment. As a member of our virtual team, you will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.



Responsibilities
Virtual Assessments

Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students\' fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and other occupational therapy needs. Utilize virtual tools and observations to gather comprehensive assessment data.



Individualized Therapy Plans

Develop and implement individualized virtual occupational therapy plans based on assessment results and students\' specific needs. Provide engaging and interactive virtual therapy sessions to address identified goals.



Collaboration and Communication

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support. Participate in virtual team meetings to discuss student progress and adjust intervention plans as necessary.



Digital Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports. Generate written reports and communicate findings to parents, educators, and relevant stakeholders.



Professional Development and Technology Utilization

Stay current with best practices and research in the field of occupational therapy. Participate in virtual professional development opportunities and training sessions. Effectively use virtual platforms and technology tools for assessments, therapy sessions, and communication.



Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Licensure

A Master\'s degree in Occupational Therapy is required. Washington licensure as an Occupational Therapist is also required.



Experience and Skills

Previous experience in school-based settings and virtual therapy is preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. Proficient in the use of virtual platforms and technology for remote service delivery.



Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and professional development opportunities.
