Position Overview:
The Hot Oil CDL Driver at Select Energy Services is tasked with the safe operation of a hot oil unit, which includes a high-pressure pump and burner for heating fluids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive and operate a hot oil unit, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Complete necessary documentation such as vehicle inspection reports and Driver's Daily Logs as per DOT regulations.
- Operate high-pressure pumps to circulate heated fluids, ensuring efficient removal of paraffin build-up.
- Conduct tests on tubing and casing integrity using high-pressure equipment.
- Monitor job activities through equipment gauges and hand signals, maintaining clear communication with team members.
- Handle hoses and piping, connecting and disconnecting as required using appropriate tools.
- Maintain trucks in optimal condition, reporting any issues promptly and performing minor repairs when necessary.
- Accurately complete all paperwork related to loads and activities, submitting to the supervisor daily.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a CDL A driver.
- Valid CDL A license with Tanker and HazMat endorsements preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier DOT requirements and possess a current D.O.T. medical card.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, extreme heat, and cold.
- Exposure to mechanical parts and high noise levels requiring hearing protection.
- Physical demands include prolonged sitting, standing, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
