Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure Windows and Linux servers, as well as other data storage systems, to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system administration issues, including backups, audit logs, and security posture.
  • Design and implement complex architectures for cloud environments and develop procedures for transitioning applications to the cloud.
  • Support the development of data backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and client project team members to implement solution designs and processes.
  • Install operating systems and software in Windows and Linux environments, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Coordinate with security personnel to maintain system security compliance.
  • Setup and maintain user accounts on systems and cloud consoles/portals, and monitor system performance and network communication to identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
  • Design and implement a backup and recovery policy, and document system architectures and user policies on internal Wiki.
  • Research and stay up-to-date with upcoming technologies and best practices in system administration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience, or additional years of experience and certifications in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in system administration of Windows and Linux, and DoD 8570 IAT Level II Compliant (Security +).
  • Experience using relevant AF systems and databases, and working with cloud computing and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc).
  • Current TS/SCI government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Solution Architect Course, and experience supporting Air Force ISR operations.
