Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant equipment, ensuring that all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with company safety policies and procedures, and that all regulatory requirements are met.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop plans to ensure that maintenance technicians have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and materials, ensuring that all necessary items are available when needed.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports on maintenance activities, including metrics on equipment availability, maintenance costs, and technician productivity.
- Education: Related college degree or equivalent years of experience in the mining industry.
- Experience: Six years of experience in cement or related industry, with a minimum of three years in a supervisory role.
- Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of MSHA standards and requirements, as well as pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
The Maintenance Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to dust, cement, clay, gypsum, sand, diesel exhaust, lubricants, solvents, and various fuels. The incumbent will be required to work in all types of weather conditions, including heat, cold, ice, rain, and high humidity.
