Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Department Director/Manager/Coordinator/Lead, the Patient Registration Specialist is tasked with the precise, courteous, and efficient handling of all pre-admissions, in-patient, ancillary patient, and emergency room registrations in accordance with hospital and departmental policies.
Qualifications
Minimum Educational Requirement:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Some college or technical training is advantageous.
Minimum Experience Requirement:
Exceptional customer service skills are essential. Proficiency in computer data entry is required. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred. Experience in insurance verification is beneficial. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Licensing Requirements:
This position may require working various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Delivering exceptional health care, one patient at a time.
