Electrical Engineering Senior Manager

EDP Renewables is a global leader in the renewable energy sector, operating in over 25 markets worldwide. As an Electrical Engineering Senior Manager, you will be part of the Development Engineering team, supporting the Engineering team in managing engineering requests for all projects in Development. This role involves electrical design for wind, solar, energy storage, and other renewable technology projects for both utility and distributed generation.
Main Responsibilities- Provide training to Electrical Project Engineers
- Prepare electrical-related scope documents, exhibits, budgets, specifications, schedules, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Interact closely with internal teams to ensure project needs and objectives are met
- Lead or participate in project meetings and conference calls
- Ensure the production of quality electrical engineering plans, studies, and specifications while ensuring compliance with department, project, company, utility, regional electrical entity, and industry requirements and standards
- Expedite and support consultants' document submittals, budgets, and schedules
- Participate in engineering design and construction review processes
- Lead and conduct value-add engineering studies of alternative design approaches
- Support all development projects for electrical engineering related queries
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7-10 years of planning, design, and engineering experience
- 1-2 years of engineering project management experience
- Reneable Energy experience is preferred
- Ability to manage the work of third-party consultants and service contracts
- Power utility experience is preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of distribution systems; transmission systems; medium and high voltage substation electrical equipment; steady and dynamics modeling of power pools, the interconnection request process, lightning protection; and grounding grids

- Walking: Ability to walk.5 to 2 miles per day, including across unpaved and rough surfaces when on project sites.
- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal, diagram, or scheduled form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
