Radiologic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at CGH Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiography and be able to perform a variety of imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations, including fluoroscopy, trauma, portables, operating room, pain clinic, and special procedures.
• Accurately assess examination quality, appropriateness, and results.
• Educate customers by explaining procedures.
• Supervise student technologists appropriately.
• Prioritize work assignments for self and others.
• Complete record entries into computerized systems.
• Assist in the maintenance of images and other records.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
• Practice competencies in radiology based on current scientific knowledge.

Requirements

• ARRT registered in Radiology within 1 month of hire.
• A current registry with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) within 1 month of hire.
• Two years' experience in radiology preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of radiation protection, physics, positioning, and image critique required.
• Extensive computer literacy to include CR, PACS, and HIS required.
