We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize your expertise as a Medical Assistant to ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations.
This role is vital in maintaining the efficiency of our practice, focusing on patient care and operational excellence.
Primary Duties:
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Assist in rooming patients, preparing examination rooms, and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Verify patient information through interviews, documenting medical histories, medications, and allergies.
- Prepare patients for examinations by conducting preliminary tests and coordinating with other departments.
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and dignity.
- Assist with various clinical procedures, including the preparation of injectable medications and the application of dressings and casts.
- Provide instruction to patients regarding the care of orthopedic devices and reinforce medical information provided by healthcare providers.
- Manage orthopedic supplies and ensure the cleanliness of clinical areas.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and operational workflows.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Familiarity with office procedures and computer systems.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in orthopedic settings preferred.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel between locations as needed.
Preferred Certification:
Candidates with certification from an accredited medical assisting program or relevant healthcare experience will be prioritized.
