Crotonville Hotel & Conference Center is a Riverside Conference Experience located off the banks of the Hudson River, nestled within the Croton Bay area. Our hotel boasts proximity to New York City and surrounding metro areas, making it an ideal location for business and leisure travelers alike.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality pastries and desserts in our hotel's bakery. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present high-quality pastries and desserts in our hotel's bakery
  • Scale, mix, and assemble cakes and other baked goods
  • Bake with convention ovens and maintain knowledge of baking temperature ranges
  • Garnish finished desserts and maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in pastry production, with French pastry experience preferred
  • Degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program is preferred
  • Passion for the food industry and a strong interest in high-quality products
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to work shifts up to 10 hours while standing or walking to perform essential functions
  • Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with management and team members
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays when needed
Compensation

The compensation for this position is $22.00/Hr. - $22.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
