Critical Care Nurse

Job Summary:
Fairview Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team at our M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN.
The CVICU is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires nurses to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients with complex medical conditions. As a CVICU RN, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes
- Develop an individualized nursing plan of care
- Implement interventions as needed during treatment based on the plan of care
- Evaluate care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes
- Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes
- Coordinate care with members of the health care team and delegate responsibilities to others as appropriate
- Demonstrate the ability to advance care by applying standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes
- Promote a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP) by participating in a multitude of available opportunities
Qualifications:
- MN RN Licensure
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through Health Care Providers
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN or higher, Certification in related specialty, minimum of one-year current medical surgical RN experience in a hospital setting, one year of adult critical care experience, Certification by the American Association of Critical Care Nursing or in a related specialty
