Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nephrologist Physician to join our team at the Veterans Health Administration. As a Nephrologist Physician, you will provide direct professional Nephrology services to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with known or suspected renal disease
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including writing prescriptions and ordering diagnostic tests
  • Provide medical and technical support and supervision to Nephrology residents and students
  • Participate in the Medical Center's Quality Management program through Nephrology indicators and monitors
  • Attend Medical Service conferences, staff meetings, and other education meetings
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
  • Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification in medicine and board certification/eligibility in Nephrology
