Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and safety-oriented Class A CDL Freight Transport Operator to become part of our organization. The ideal candidate will be tasked with delivering automotive components to distribution centers and shipping facilities in a prompt, efficient, and secure manner. Additionally, they will aid in the accurate sorting, staging of pallets, and the loading and unloading of the vehicle to guarantee the precise and timely delivery of the components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive a Tractor Trailer to transport automotive components to distribution centers and shipping facilities.
- Assist in the proper loading and unloading of the vehicle.
- Adhere to delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely distribution of goods.
- Confirm that the load is properly secured and balanced prior to transportation.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Effectively communicate with the dispatch team to coordinate deliveries and address any issues that may arise.
- Comply with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Be prepared to sit, stand, walk, and/or lift for extended periods.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Adhere to established company policies and procedures.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A driver's license.
- Previous experience operating a Tractor Trailer or similar commercial vehicle.
- Possess a valid medical DOT card.
- Able to reach, bend, lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery schedules and routes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the dispatch team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to resolve issues swiftly and efficiently.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with work hours as required.
- Familiarity with the automotive parts and repair industry is advantageous.
- Ability to work during night shifts when necessary.
$30 - $31 per hour, based on experience.
