Azure Data Engineer

Infosys is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to lead critical modules in our Data Engineering program. This role involves working directly with clients to design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines on Azure using services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Azure Analysis Services.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data platforms with a multi-layered approach. They will also have expertise in troubleshooting performance issues, identifying root causes, and applying fixes. Additionally, they will have experience in SQL and be able to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects using tools like Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust and scalable data pipelines on Azure
  • Maintain data platforms with a multi-layered approach
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and identify root causes
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to facilitate the availability of clean, structured data for analytical purposes

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data platforms
  • Expertise in troubleshooting performance issues and identifying root causes
  • Experience in SQL and CI/CD pipeline management
  • Ability to work in an Agile team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with data modeling and ETL tools such as Erwin, Talend, and DataStage
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead large complex projects with limited direction
