ESL Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified ESL Instructor to join our team at Commonpoint Queens. As a Spanish Language Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and delivering ESL curriculum to beginner, intermediate, and advanced-level learners.

• Design and implement sector-based contextualized ESL instruction with a focus on health care.
• Develop and facilitate virtual and in-person lessons, utilizing digital tools and online platforms.
• Collaborate with the adult workforce team for job placement and wrap-around services for ESL learners.
• Work with the refugee resettlement team to recruit eligible students, facilitate ESL course enrollment, and ensure all required case file documentation is completed.
• Attend relevant meetings, training, and workshops as needed.

• Bachelor's Degree in social work, education, counseling, public policy, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in ESOL instruction.
• TESOL or CELTA certification is also accepted.
• Bilingual in Spanish is required.

• Part-time, 10 hours/week schedule.
• $30-40 per hour salary.
