Heavy Vehicle Operator

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Vehicle Operator to join our team in Albany, NY. As a Motor Vehicle Operator, you will be responsible for driving a variety of motor vehicles to transport people, materials, and equipment across the state.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent navigation skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive state-owned or leased vehicles to transport personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records of goods and people transported.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and vehicle cleaning.
- Collaborate with maintenance, grounds, or building trades crews to operate and maintain motorized equipment.
Requirements:
- A valid New York State driver's license with the appropriate classification for the type of vehicle to be operated.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits:
- A competitive salary of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
**Salary Range:** $42,500 - $62,500 per year
