Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with CPR under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
  • Document patient care activities and patient data accurately using appropriate documentation forms and information systems.
  • Perform patient care tasks related to activities of daily living, such as bathing, feeding, hair, skin, and oral care.
  • Reinforce transition/discharge teaching and patient self-care activities.
  • Perform required clinical skills, including vital sign measurement, aseptic technique, non-invasive specimen collection, and more.
  • Assist with admission, transfer, or discharge of patients.
  • Observe patients carefully for significant changes.
  • Seek to improve the effectiveness of communication and interactions with others.
  • Collaborate with the RN to address patient safety and legal issues.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Paid or practicum experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Other Credentials: AHA Heartsaver AED certification required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in English and verbal and written communication skills.
