Job Summary:

We are seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist to join our team at Denver Springs. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will be responsible for assessing clinical appropriateness for admission, performing psychiatric assessments, and providing individual therapy, family therapy, and medication management as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess clinical appropriateness for admission and collaborate with Assessment and Referral regarding potential admissions.
  • Perform psychiatric assessments for individuals under your care.
  • Provide individual therapy, family therapy, and/or medication management as needed for patients under your care.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA standards.
  • Complete all documentation requirements legibly and within timeframes established by Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations.
  • Lead the multidisciplinary treatment team and participate collaboratively in scheduled staffing regarding the treatment of your patients.
  • Demonstrate appropriate medication administration and ensure that documentation regarding medications complies with facility and regulatory standards.
  • Complete necessary documentation to ensure accurate reimbursement for services provided and work collaboratively with the UR Department.
  • Comply with all Medical Staff Bylaws and Medical Staff Rules and Regulations. Comply with all facility policies and procedures. Maintain professional behaviors at all times.
  • Share on-call schedule providing on-call services for patients and for responding to emergencies, admissions, and evaluations as necessary.
  • Participate in performance improvement activity for the hospital.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced psychiatrist with a graduate degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school and completion of residency in psychiatry. Board certification is preferred. Prior inpatient and/or outpatient experience in a behavioral healthcare setting practicing psychiatry and/or addiction medicine is required. Current unencumbered medical doctor (MD) or osteopathic doctor (DO) license, DEA, and State Controlled Substances registration are also required.
