MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Neonatologist to join our esteemed teams across the Indianapolis region.

Our facility provides care for approximately 700 newborns annually, supported by a team of board-certified neonatologists who ensure the highest standards of medical attention for neonates requiring specialized, life-saving interventions.

Our approach often begins during the prenatal phase and extends throughout the NICU experience.

We work closely with a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and interventional specialists, ensuring proper neurodevelopmental follow-up after discharge.

Our multidisciplinary team includes committed advanced practice providers who maintain communication with referring obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatricians, and primary care physicians regarding the infants in our NICUs.


Position Overview:


Primary daytime attending responsibilities at a designated Level III NICU with 16 beds; potential for daytime service at additional NICUs managed by our division.

Night call duties will align with those of other full-time faculty members within the division.

Advocacy for the needs of high-risk neonates and their families is essential.

This role includes a faculty appointment with the Indiana University School of Medicine, with participation in faculty meetings and departmental activities required.

Rank will be determined based on experience.

Qualifications:

Completion of a pediatric residency and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine is required.

Board eligibility/certification in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine is necessary.

Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for licensure.
