Morrison Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, and ensuring that our culinary services meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, while ensuring that our culinary services are aligned with Morrison Living's business strategy.
- Lead and manage a team of culinary professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional service.
- Ensure that our kitchen operations are run efficiently and effectively, with a focus on food safety, sanitation, and quality control.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure that we have access to the highest quality ingredients and products.
- Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other expenses to ensure that our culinary services are profitable and sustainable.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and technologies, and implement new ideas and innovations to enhance our culinary services.
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, with a proven track record of success in leading and managing a team of culinary professionals.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with residents, staff, and suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and meeting deadlines.
- Advanced degree in Culinary Arts or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a senior culinary role in a high-volume, complex foodservice operation.
- Knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and suppliers, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, with a focus on driving business results and improving operational efficiency.
