About This Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Merchandise Associate to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our sales floor team, you'll play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling returns and exchanges as needed.
  • Support visual merchandising efforts, maintaining a visually appealing store environment and promoting products effectively.
  • Participate in store recovery efforts, ensuring the sales floor and stockroom are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Engage with customers, promoting credit and loyalty programs and providing personalized recommendations to drive sales.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and sales promotions, making recommendations to customers and driving sales growth.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store culture.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering a personalized experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to support business needs.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.

This position has a starting pay range of $16.00 to $16.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
