Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team at Newbold Advisors, LLC. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in high-voltage substation design, managing detailed deliverables and leading a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed high-voltage substation design deliverables, including single-lines, three-lines, protection and control schemes, cable and raceway drawings, and ductbank drawings.
  • Lead and manage a substation design team, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Utilize power system analysis software such as ETAP, EasyPower, SKM, or equivalent to analyze and design substation systems.
  • Prepare studies and write technical reports to document design decisions and results.
  • Develop technical specifications for related equipment and materials.
  • Review vendor drawings for conformance to specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements.
Requirements:
  • 8 + years of experience in developing detailed high-voltage substation design deliverables.
  • Experience leading and having responsible charge of a substation design team.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software such as ETAP, EasyPower, SKM, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering license.
