Job Summary

MARTIN Technologies is seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team to support product engineering, testing, prototype, and manufacturing services. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating and refining various products supporting the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a variety of fabrication and related equipment, including machining tools and welding equipment.
  • Execute build activities from Bill of Materials, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide updates to various project documents, including wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Weld various metal parts and assemblies, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
  • Build from blueprints, drawings, and schematics, demonstrating a built-to-print capability.
  • Perform assembly and disassembly tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Read, understand, and execute wiring tasks from diagrams/drawings.
  • Perform installation of wiring and related components.
  • Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up.
  • Adhere to safety standards and practices at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve product quality and build efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Fabrication Specialist or equivalent.
  • Willingness to take on a variety of different tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of working characteristics of metallic materials.
  • Proficient welding skills, including Aluminum MIG, TIG, and Heli arc.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of machining tools.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in electrical/wiring, including reading wiring diagrams and understanding circuits.
  • Assembly experience, with a focus on precision and quality.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Commitment to following safety, process, procedures, written and verbal directions, and document updates as required.
  • Reliability.
  • Certificate in Welding Technology or related field.
  • CAD experience is highly desired but not required.
