We are currently seeking a Part-Time Resident Assistant at The Village at Kelly Drive in York, PA. This role does not require CNA certification, making it an excellent opportunity for those new to the field or looking to transition into a caregiving career.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. They must also complete and provide proof of completion of the Department of Public Welfare mandated personal care direct care staff training and competency examination within 14 days of hire. Additionally, they must satisfactorily complete Agency-provided resident assistant training during their introductory period.
The ideal candidate will possess proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills, as well as general knowledge of the department's operations. CPR certification is also required. Please refer to the separate analysis for physical requirements of the essential functions with or without accommodation.
This role requires no prior experience, making it an excellent entry-point for individuals who want to start their caregiving career. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and completing daily assignments, determining priorities, and budgeting time and workload effectively. You will also be responsible for providing residents with adequate nutrition and hydration, assisting with ambulation and mobility, and encouraging participation in activities.
