Job Summary

The Obstetrics Registered Nurse position at Bon Secours is a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care to women and newborns. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will utilize your strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, determine priorities, and implement clinical nursing interventions to enhance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive care to women and newborns
  • Apply the nursing process to care for women during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and gynecological issues
  • Deliver care to women of all ages, including triage, prioritization, assessment, education, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency management
  • Administer medications safely and consistently with state practice and organizational policies
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification - National Certification Corporation (preferred)
  • NPR Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification (required within 6 months)
