Job Summary:

We are seeking a Recreation Aide to conduct games, special events, arts and crafts, and other group activities at a County recreation area. The ideal candidate will have some experience in leisure activities or working with children, and be able to utilize personal computers, including Microsoft Office Suite and Vermont Systems Rec-Trac.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct games, special events, arts and crafts, and other group activities for children and adults.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination.
  • Provide customer service and respond to inquiries.
  • Operate personal computers, including Microsoft Office Suite and Vermont Systems Rec-Trac.

Requirements:

  • Some experience in leisure activities or working with children.
  • Ability to utilize personal computers, including Microsoft Office Suite and Vermont Systems Rec-Trac.
  • Valid Florida Driver's license and ability to maintain said license during the term of employment.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Work in a variety of settings, including outdoors and indoors.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, sit, and drive for extended periods.
  • Repetitively perform fine manipulation, operating foot controls, pulling, pushing, and simple grasping.
